What is Homies?
Homies is a mobile app for roommates and anyone sharing a home. It keeps the moving parts of a shared household under one roof: split rent and bills, rotate chores, share a grocery and supplies list, track who owes what, and see who's home. It's coming to iOS and Android, and it's in closed beta right now: join and you're in early while we build it.
If you searched ‘Homies’ and expected toys, music, or slang, you've reached the quieter namesake: an app built for the everyday logistics of living with other people.
Why we built it
We've shared apartments, and we kept having the same three arguments: who paid for what, whose turn it is to clean, and what we're out of. Spreadsheets, group chats, and ‘I'll get you back’ stop working after the first month.
Homies is the calm, shared source of truth we wished we'd had: money and chores stop being a running negotiation, and a home can just be a home.
Who Homies is for
Roommates and flatmates, couples moving in together, friends splitting a lease, and families running a busy household. We're building Israel-first, with a full Hebrew, right-to-left experience, and for shared homes everywhere.
However you split the rent, Homies makes the shared parts fair and the awkward parts automatic.
What we believe about your data
Our only incentive is a home that runs well, not ad revenue. There are no ads, we never sell your information, presence is locked to your own home, and there's no live location tracking.
The specifics live in our Privacy Policy, and you can reach us any time through the contact page.

About the author
I'm Shai, the founder of Homies. I spent four years living with three-plus roommates, watching money and chores turn every home into a negotiation. A career building apps people rely on gave me the tools — now I'm building the one I needed myself.
